Good day every one.

I am a new comer to this board, although exercise is not new to me, it is something I stopped doing in 2005 do to lower back surgery. It took me a year to recover from that. This last year and a half I all but quit walking and it has got to the point where I am tired of this big fat belly I have. I could not walk across the yard without huffing and puffing. Six days ago I started exercising again and I can already feel the difference.

I am 63 years old and I am an accounting major at the technical college here in Helena, Montana. I wish I could lose weight as good as the grades I am getting. I have one of those activity trackers and also a treadmill. I have wanted a treadmill for 2/3 years now, and my husband got me one for Valentines day, and I was just soooo excited and happy to get it.

About 3/4 years ago, Prevention magazine had a program called Walk of Weight, where one can walk of their weight by walking to interval music. That is the walking I do on the treadmill. The music is at a speed of #3 at recovery an #4 at high intensity. I do the warmup at speed #2 and usually do the high intensity at #3, also using #2 for the recovery. For now, until I get better. The workouts are 30 minutes long, but I can last about 15 minutes. I do it at least twice a day and I also try for three times a day. I have lost 1 pound since I started 6 days ago.

Thank you. I have never walked on a treadmill before. I just call it the treddy for short and I really like it. I hold on with one hand so I can swing my other so that the tracker can tracker my steps.
