I am 52 yr old 5'7" and weigh the heaviest I have weighed in a long time... About 170. I am fairly active. Hiking running biking. My big issue is the slowing of metabolism and curbing my apetite. Any help would be appreciated! What foods curb your hunger? I am hoping for 25 pounds. MFP puts me at 1400 unless I exercise.

You are not too far from your healthy weight. That's good! To help you feeling hungry less often, try to increase your protein. For example, having a toast with peanut butter is better than with butter, because peanut butter has more protein. Also, increase your fiber; it also makes you feel fuller for longer, and, if you drink enough water, can help your vows to work properly and help you lose weight0
