in addition to working out with cardio and strengthening, I'd like to change my eating plan for the most effective weight loss by June of this year. What do you recommend?

You need to eat low calorie to lose weight, going low carb is a dietary style and that alone won't result in weight loss unless you are eating at a deficit calorie wise.0

Exactly what Chris said. You need carbs for energy to strength train and to have an effective cardio session. Get the majority of your calories from healthy carbs. Oatmeal, veggies, fruits. Set up for a moderate calorie deficit. Don't cut calories drastically, you want to hold on to muscle while losing fat.0
