Well OP, a few people have already said what I wanted to say, basically. You'd probably be better off with a sensible calorie deficit. Your hunger and your wallet will be satisfied.0

Mental satisfaction, most likely.0 -
I can understand why people gravitate toward these kinds of diets and also the shakes etc
Your calories and meals are all there, they're simple to follow. You don't have to think about what you're going to cook today and will it send me over my calories etc etc
Simple and easy to follow are what a lot of people are looking for. In the beginning of their weight loss journey (I hate that word) anyway.0 -

I admit it made have helped me start to realize what proper portions are, and to at least try to use measuring cups to gauge how much I was eating. Baby steps!0 -
There's no such thing as a "kickstart." You just get back up on the horse and do what you did before.0

I agree that your average gummy bears aren't great. But gourmet gummy bears are a whole other level of gummy bear.
I don't think I've ever had gelato.0 -
No--cold cereal is super processed and full of carbs. Not a diet that would work for me.0

Lol no0 -
Isn't that cereal?0

If its cereal, I want cocoa puffs.0

I did it in 2006 after I had my first child. I lost 30lbs in a month but honestly you will gain it all back. Only changing your eating habits will be worth the results. I do buy special k items still, for snacks or occasionall meal replacements but not even faithfully do I go for those items.0

it's got high fructose corn syrup in it- makes me ill.

But sugar and unclean!!0 -
I wasn't thinking cereal when I saw the heading...occupational hazard where my mind goes. Now I can't get rid of the diet image it did create in my mind. Glad I was wrong. Don't know anything about the one you speak of, but it has to be better than the alternative interpretation that popped into my head.
Sorry, random answer0 -
I have a hate-on for the Special K product line. Their commercials are so much better than their product. They add sugar for no good reason which takes it off the Diabetic's list, but then their glycemic number is horrible! No staying power. Their attempts to hit nutrition goals like their high protein cereal is again spiked with unnecessary sugar. Pfft. Give me Quaker Oats instead.0

What it's supposed to achieve, is massive repetitive profit; for the company & a never ending, attempt to lose & maintain, the weight lost; for you. They'd be out of business, if they successfully helped people, lose weight & keep it off. What they do is help you lose some, thus making you believe that it works but the moment, you go off of it; you gain the weight back. They just teach you how to diet, not how to function without them; after your diet is over. So therefore you keep coming back & usually with twice as much weight to lose, as the initial time. The Weight Watchers point system, comes as close as your going to get; to help eat regular food. However they also don't teach you, after your diet is done; how to not have to continue to use the point system. Thus making you still feel as though, your on a diet. So then when the customer, stops using their point system; they gain weight again & thus have to go back on the diet again.0 -
