I completely messed up today and I blame my husband because he asked me to make cookies!!! of course, I ate about 6. It has been very slow for me in coming off. I started around January 15 logging in everyday, making sure I stay at 1200 calories. I have lost 7 pounds, but according to myfitness I'm supposed to be losing 2 lbs a week. Anyway, I'm just gonna try again tomorrow, it's a new day. I'm going to start exercising more. Do you have someone to work out with? That might help and just keep telling yourself that you can do it because you want to be healthy!0

Welcome
Firstly - you're going to have thousands of setbacks in your journey, don't let them discourage you. If becoming fit and healthy were easy the entire population would do it. Just by deciding to make the change you've already achieved more than most people!
Secondly - you won't achieve everything you want overnight. It takes time and effort, but most importantly it takes knowledge - knowledge of what's causing your body to burn less energy than you're feeding it. That's where MFP is so invaluable. It helps you identify the parts of your diet that have hidden values of carbs or empty kilojules. Over time you'll learn to swap toast for eggs, sandwiches for salads, water for fruit juice etc. It's a learning process and IT WILL TAKE TIME.
Thirdly - Eating nothing will achieve nothing. You'll be hungry, miserable and will quickly fail. Instead look for foods that will fill you up without adding empty calories.
Fourthly - exercise and add muscle! Cardio is great for day to day energy in vs energy out, but building muscle gives you 24/7 fat burning by increasing you base metabolic rate.
Don't give up, just learn from your mistakes and keep going0 -

7 pounds (3.17kg) in a month is actually pretty good. The body never follows a direct line from point A to point B. Have a look at my weight from Jan 1st. It is all over the place but it is still going down. Just keep at it and make it a lifestyle change rather than a short term change. Some days are just going through the motions but that is okay as well. https://trendweight.com/u/14c0ba63a7c043/0
