Motivations?

My wife and I started this life change a couple of years ago. She has lost 123 and I have lost 134 with about 45 to go. Last summer I took my wife to Vegas to celebrate our new life! When we got there I asked her what show she wanted to see. She picked Thunder Down Under. *kitten*! was my first thought, then I was like what the hell lets do it. So we bought the tickets, front row center. That night we got in line there were already over a hundred people in front of us. As I looked up and down the line, I became a little more than concerned that I was the only Man in line. After about twenty minutes I chickened out...My wife was really bummed. The next day I said I would try to go again. After a few pre-show rum punch drinks, we were inside. We are up front, I can see only one other guy and about three hundred screaming brides maids, Mothers, grandmothers...women!! Way way different vibe than a gentleman's club. The show starts, Girls all start screaming. My wife has got an ear to ear gleam in her eye smile! I love making her happy. So, two things I was happy about, first they harassed the only other dude in the audience, I did kind of duck behind some girls. Second, no full monty!
So the motivation part. Girls really like guys that are in shape and from the screaming my wife was doing, she did too. After the show they let the girls take pictures with the guys. I asked my wife if she wanted to get a picture, she was like hell yeah! Next thing I see, she is sitting on the laps of a couple of them with the others dancers surrounding her. While I was watching her I loved seeing her so happy while at the same time thinking, Dude! get you hand off my wife! lol When we got home she put her 8x10 on the dresser mirror. Well, that lasted about a week. I told her the picture has to go in the drawer and that I was going to be her THUNDER DOWN UNDER MAN! I started going to the gym. At first a couple times a week. I hadn't a clue what to do really. Did an hour on the treadmill and a few machines. The next several months I kept going more and more but still not knowing what to really do. I did start watching what everyone else was doing and I even tried some new stuff. At my gym the treadmills sit up above all the weight machines. I started seeing this same girl there everyday and she was kicking *kitten*! Everyday she seem to have a different routine. I would be on the treadmill thinking, damn I want to be like her! She is a bad *kitten*! One day she came up to me out of no where and gave me some advice, I wasn't doing the exercise right. A few weeks later, this wonderful new friend offered to help me out everyday. It's been seven weeks so far, Monday-Friday 4:45 to 5:45 I do what she says and it's really working. She has changed my life! I told her that I swear that these squats and walking lunges are going to kill me but I will have an amazing *kitten*! lol Last Weekend was the first Valentines day my wife and have celebrated in a long time. It was a great day. My girl came up with a new nickname for me.....Papathunder! Thats right baby!
Next year we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Vegas. We are renewing our vows with an Elvis wedding!
