I am adding oolong tea to my diet starting tomorrow. Has anyone else tried that or seen benefits from chia seeds or other things?

My dietitian would say, "doesn't hurt". Chia seeds pack a calorie punch so portion no more than a tablespoon at a time. Take chia with lots of water.

No superfoods for weight loss. Add up your calories and keep around your daily target.

I have chia seeds everyday. They are filling, and a decent source of protein and fat. Yes they do pack a calorie punch at 60ish calories per 15g

None of these things will actually make any difference in your weight loss. There are (fortunately or unfortunately) no magic foods.

However, if you enjoy the taste of oolong tea, by all means, drink some. Ditto with chia seeds -- if you like them, go for it. Whatever fits your macros and calories is fine.

I read a review recently which underlined that these superfoods do not do anything magical. If you like them, find them satisfying, and can fit them into your diet needs, then go ahead. But there are none of them that you NEED.

Thanks for all of your input, I by no means think myself or anyone will lose weight magically! I have been eating healthy lately with all meals but I am adding these to my diet because I have read about all types of health benefits from them. I am looking for alternatives to other snacks or meals that will fit my macros and maybe be higher in protiens or fiber. As for oolong tea and some similar teas i have heard others swear by it's ability to curb your appetite. That is always a plus for me to feel satisfied throughtout the day by good sources. I am newer to MFP and this is my official first week following through with all 3 (Diet, Exercise and the correct Water intake) for a few months I wasn't being consistent with one or the other:/
