What are some of your most random unusual distractions?

So, we already know that one HUGE obvious and notorious distraction when you're trying to eat healthier is, for example, being at a cookout or Thanksgiving dinner with tons of great, free food and alcohol...or when you're begrudingly walking or running on the treadmill and see that big, fat timer/countdown in bright, red or green numbers taunting you the whole time...
But what are some of your more subtle distractions when it comes to eating right or working out consistently? Some that may make total sense to some while probably not a whole lot (or may not seem like that big of a deal) to others but can possibly be VERY discouraging for your experience? And, if you've figured out some kind of solution -- even if it isn't the best one but just seems to work for you for now -- share that as well. Or, if you see or know of a great solution for a distraction someone else has mentioned here, please feel free to weigh in on that too!
Like, with me...one thing I've noticed that really irks me when I'm jogging, whether outside or on a treadmill -- especially since I already don't really (yet) enjoy jogging and can't do it for very long as it is: having the earplug wires/cords of my MP3 player I'm listening to either all tangled up or bouncing all around within my eyeshot, let alone BOTH. Ahhh! I hate it so much, lol.. I also hate having to stop to adjust it, which is why I try my best to get it all untangled and completely tucked into my shirt (or, better yet, the sports bra I'm wearing beneath it) before getting started.
Also, I've been consistently walking and jogging with my dog outside, and the slightest deviation she makes from the direction I'm walking or especially jogging toward throws me off. So, whether it's some random scent that only a dog's nose can pick up and obsess over, some squirrel or rabbit several miles away that my dog knows (or at least should know) she has NO chance of getting away from me to get to, another dog whose butt she just has to sniff NOW, or a dog or rabbit's poop left behind that she really needs to go investigate right away, my dog pulling in different directions particularly when I'm trying to jog definitely messes me up. Also, sometimes her speed will throw me off -- most of the time, she'll run too fast, but other times, she'll lag behind going too slow (usually still trying to dart in the direction from where we just came or get me to slow down so she can check something out), and both of those situations distract me as well. It is of utmost HEAVEN when she is running at just the rice pace -- not too fast, not too slow -- and going only in whatever direction I'm headed. But short of that, ugh!!
As for food, I can be totally good and on point with sticking to eating right or...for example, if I've brought a healthy lunch or a light snack to eat while at work, sticking to that unTIL certain smells: pizza, tacos/Mexican food and various other overwhelming aromas that just activate any dormant craving and your curiosity in general beyond belief. I'm not even a big Mexican-food eater and can have that furthest from my mind, but then I smell some various taco and burrito ingredients, and I'm just like damn...maybe I need to forget that salad I brought today and go get some nachos..lol..
So anywhoo...now that you have examples, c'mon - do tell: What are some of yours?

Hahaha, your dog TOTALLY sounds like mine. I have a blue heeler that will literally bounce off the walls. I trained her to heel off leash to be next to me because she was so terrible about walking on leash.
As for distractions?- being bored. I'm a terrible grazer, a bit of this here, a bite of that there. It'll add up to 500/600+ easily if I don't watch it. It's completely what got me here in the first place. That and I'll eat a full meal and then continue to graze. All because I'm not doing something!
I swear, finding the mid ground on some things is the hardest thing to do.0 -
When my ear buds fall out while I am running. Bloody pisses me off.0

lol yeah, I have a habit of eating out of boredom as well, and so I try my best to stay busy, even in little ways around the house...and I really make the most of the 5-6 smaller meals/day plan -- I find it helps me overeat or eat unnecessarily out of boredom significantly less...When my ear buds fall out while I am running. Bloody pisses me off.
LoL I totally feel you there -- that really bothers me too.. Especially if both fall out!0
