Weird symptoms, weird solutions?

Not sure if this makes me weird or not, but sometimes at night my feet get really itchy. If I drink water, then go to the bathroom (even if I don't feel like I have to pee), then the itchy stops. What's that all about?!?

Does anyone else have weird symptoms with weird solutions?

Never heard of the itchy feet thing. Do you mean tingly? Do they itch all over or just on the soles? Curious. Wondering if getting up to go to the bathroom is what helps - NOT the going to the bathroom part, but just getting up and walking around a bit to encourage blood flow.

I don't think it's just walking around because it doesn't go away until I go to the bathroom. I've tried many remedies, and that's the only thing that seems to work. It's the sides of my feet. Totally weird I know.

Hmmm, maybe your full bladder is impinging on a nerve? Or pressing on your aorta? Not actually likely but it's a thought. Best ask your MD when he gets back from leave and you don't have to see the idiot one.

Hmm. Sometimes, if my feet are dry (from a pool or what not) the bottoms get itchy as I am going to bed. It is usually from dry skin though. Getting up "helps" me because it scratches the itch. Between that and putting lotion on them, seems to "cure" it long enough for me to sleep. Is it possibly dry skin?

For dry skin I put on olive oil, so my feet are usually pretty good in that area. I think I will ask my doc about it when she gets back. I was thinking maybe it might be like a pre-diabetic sign or something? Or related to too much of a certain nutrient or something?
  • Yep, that's a little odd. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it though, lots of people have little quirks and psychosomatic stuff going on (I don't mean that in a negative way).

When all else fails, Google. Although that will probably end up saying you're dying :)
