Thought I'd just say Hi,

I'm a 58 year old guy who has never been into anything to do with exercise (until now). I've lived a very sedentary existence for the last 20 years and, up to about 2 years ago, I was pretty over weight and getting heavier.

Cutting down portion size and then being careful about fat and sugar content in my food has helped get my weight down to within 9lbs of "normal" for my height. Now, to she tthat final bit and to try to improve my overall fitness I've started walking several times a week.

My goal is to do the couch to 5K program and to have completed my first ParkRun before my birthday in September.

So that's my goal. Just got to get out there now.

David

Hi David I also do the C25K. There is an app you can down load and it takes you through the 9 weeks. I use Run Double and it is free. I love it. Good luck.

Hi David - glad to see you!

Sounds like you got a handle on the diet side - fantastic.

I walk 5-6 days/week, 2 miles during the week and occasionally longer on the weekends - unfortunately have a chronic knee issue that keeps me from running.

If you want, I'm happy to have you on my friend's list.

    Brett
