has anyone else seen that lidl has been selling these recently?

I wanted something to lift at home in between gym sessions so I picked up two 15kg ones today, 9.99 each.

Love them so far, can do different workouts with them at home and make my arms and chest ache! Splendid!!

That’s an outstanding price and a good solid weight to do just about anything. I would advise looking for two smaller ones to add to the variety of what you can do (I’m not sure a turkish get up with 15kg would be much fun). Don’t want you getting bored with it. ;-)
  • I would like to try kettlebells. Any advice on the weight?

What are your goals? What is your current strength level?

I love my kettlebell class, I do it once a week. Currently using a 12kg bell but I still have to use a lighter one sometimes for things like snatches, halos and clean & press. I clean my 12kg fine but getting it above my head is another thing all together!

$9.99? Jealous. They're almost a dollar a lb here. Damn Canadian prices.
