New fitness pals

Hi My name is Cristina and I'm new to this site. After getting sick recently with both upper respiratory and stomach flu I decided that if I was in better shape maybe I wouldn't catch everything from my grandsons, whom I babysit often. Also, I've needed to lose between 5-10 lbs. for years, but it's just now that I'm getting serious about doing it. I used to run, hike, do yoga and meditate, but then I got this new job and my fitness routine bit the dust. I just purchased a Scosche Rhythm heart monitor (armband) and am really liking keeping track of workouts etc. I'm now also logging in my food intake, which makes a big difference! Looking for supportive friends on this site. thanks for a response!
