Alternatives for weight?

I am a hard working mom that is constantly lifting and moving things but... I have no weights for strength training and cannot get a club membership. I'm sure there are some people who have gone through this or are going through this. Is there any recomendations for some impromptu weights?

I used soup cans for a while before I was able to get a set of weights. You have to do a lot of reps, but they will work. Otherwise, fill up milk jugs (or something similar) with sand or something, as heavier weights.
Although, I believe my weight set only cost about £15, and you can also buy really cheap resistance bands, on Amazon.0
