Starting to log and watch my eating

Hey everyone, I am starting off today by logging and watching what I eat. I have been over weight since high school and I pretty much have had enough of it. I'm brand new to calorie counting but I believe it's the best way to control my weight with working in the oil field especially. Feel free to add me on here and leave any tips for someone starting out brand new. I'd like to hear all the advice I could.

    Good for you logging and watching what you eat. I just started back to logging as well. Still trying to get myself adjusted but I'm logging the good, the bad, and the ugly! I ate at Burger King yesterday and I did it before I logged on MFP....if I had looked at the calorie count of what I ate, I would have chosen differently....I think lol....but it definitely was an eye-opener.

    I'm sure I would have made some better choices myself lol. I'm pretty motivated right now and I just want to keep that motivation. I think having this app and likeminded people will help.
