Runkeeper to MFP glitch - over-optimistic calorie burns

I know some other users have had a few problems with the calorie levels set by MFP this week (such as it recommending daily goals of 900ish) but I wondered if anyone had any problems with other apps/devices linking through to MFP?

I use the Runkeeper app, which shares info from MFP about my height, age, weight, gender etc., and updates if I change anything on MFP. Both apps are displaying the same correct statistics for me. Normally, when I complete my run with Runkeeper and save it, the activity then shows on MFP under 'cardiovascular exercise' as something like 'Running 6mph (45 mins) 390 calories burnt'; or whatever that particular run was.

I've had a few problems this week with MFP massively overestimating my calorie burns. For example today I ran 10K in 62 minutes on a fairly flat course; my pace felt comfortable. Usually a run of this duration will be about just over 500 calories. My activity level is set to sedentary but I have set myself a custom daily goal of 1800: I eat all my exercise calories back and don't gain or lose weight from that approach, so I've no evidence to suspect this is wrong. Runkeeper was displaying an estimate of 531 - fine, about normal.

When I check my food diary on MFP, it says I burnt 996 calories! Time and speed are correct, but this is nearly twice what Runkeeper says. I would LOVE to have burnt off nearly 1K, that's a lot of extra pasta and tiramisu cake I could eat tonight, but there's just no way this is right.

Anybody else experiencing glitches with Runkeeper or any other fitness/activity tracking device? If so, have you managed to fix it?

Thanks in advance! :)
