Too much sodium

I have way to much sodium in my diet today (cheese and v8 juice). How do you combat that?

Learn from your mistakes, figure out what foods are high in sodium, and limit them. Something I'm still working on, as high-sodium foods are a weak spot for me. But being mindful of it is the first step.0

Try to drink some extra water, because sodium can be dehydrating, but otherwise just keep an eye on it from now on. Keep moving forward.0

Cheese and V8 are not really terrible places to get sodium. If you exercise frequently, your body needs sodium to make up for what you sweat out. Unless you are hypertensive, don't worry; drink plenty of water throughout the day and you will be fine.
Eating any meal out will give you a far greater dose of sodium!0 -

I agree. I used to cut out sodium just because I thought I had too. I ended up eating bland meals that I hated and making ZERO extra progress. There's really no reason to cut it out unless you have a medical condition. As far as bloating, I found my body adjusted to the higher levels quickly.

Yeah I just re-checked my diary and realized I'm usually way over my sodium and haven't experienced any negative side effects, in fact my blood pressure is on the low side. You can also balance it out (just to be safe) by eating plenty of potassium rich foods. Don't be afraid of it unless you have to!0 -
I'm about to look into more into sodium and the feeling that sodium does raise blood pressure but that is not an indicator of bad health. Again it's just a offshoot of all the cholesterol is an indicator of heart disease stupidity that has been going on for years.
Excess or lack of will make your total weight go down or up but that is purely from water retention.

If you are feeling bloated because of the sodium, try lemon in your water. It seems to help. Tomorrow is a new day!

I typically eat 1000 mg more sodium than I should. It's because I eat a lot of frozen meals (something I need to avoid, really, despite the convenience of everything already being portioned out). However, it doesn't really seem to have caused any health problems (no problems with blood pressure, etc.). One of the reasons is probably because I exercise every day and drink 10-16 cups of water/day (5-6 17-20 oz. bottles of water).0
