I posted on here 2 weeks about the sudden loss of my dad and the fear that I would get right off track and en up back at square 1. I received lots of advice and most of all encouragment and support. Thank you. I did try the first few days to keep control but as the days went by and my grief got worse...I lost control. I ate comfort food ( for me lots of carbs, bread, snacks etc) .i started smoking again. Durung this past 2 weeks I got run down and sick and ended up with bad sinus infection and because I wasn't sleeping or haven't looked after myself ( food/rest/smoking) I haven't stepped foot in the gym. I have set my date to regain control to this Monday but fear I won't! Need some help with this one guys!!

Just wanted to say sorry for your loss. A few days won't have made a massive impact and huge respect for getting back on the wagon at such a time. Take care of yourself xx
  • Sorry for your loss, I've been there. My dad died last Oct and I comfort ate for most of last year when he was ill with cancer. But you will turn a corner. Something just clicked inside my head after Christmas and I decided that I would get fit and lose weight to make my dad proud. It's hard, and you have to give yourself time to grieve. But when the time is right for you I know you can do it.
