My question is this, the last 10 pounds how do you loose it ??? It is driving me nuts. When I was in my 20s I use to bodybuild fell off the wagon for many years and turning 40 this year and decided that I wanted to work at getting back into fantastic shape. I am 5 6 and currently 145. I wish to have my weight at 135. I have been doing kickboxing for about a month now and basically do some type of cardio , workouts etc etc everyday. I watch what I eat never really going over 1400 calories....and the scale wont move !!! I know I am most likely accumilating muscle mass again however how do you walk this fine line ?? I need advice on what works for others .

When you have only ten pounds to go your calorie counting has to be precise. Do you use a food scale?

Patience and diligence is the key. Keep your eyes on the prize.0 -
Start weighing things. For instance, you have generic apple, 1 medium (try never to use generic, they aren't accurate). You have 2 pieces of chicken (you have no idea what these can really weigh). Basically, with so little to lose, your logging needs to be tight. Without weighing, you don't know how many calories you're consuming.0

Weigh your food and log it at a small defecit0

The closer you get to your goal weight, the harder it is to lose...Hang in there! If you've come THIS far, you can do the rest!

What helped with me was to make every meal half vegetables. You've got this!!!0

With the help of Steve Stroutman I'm finally seeing the scales move. Have been 7lbs over my "fighting weight" for months but not able to lose an ounce. His recommendation was 10-12 calories per lb of bodyweight. Started at 12 and have lost 2.5lbs in 2 weeks. So that was 150 below what I was eating (not a big hardship at all!) but also tightened up considerably on weighing and logging plus looking to get around 140g of protein and carbs per day - or thereabouts (usually slightly over on carbs/under protein).
As well as the "lean wanting to get leaner" thread there is this one which has useful information. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10009722/have-a-question-how-about-a-live-q-a-starting-in-3-2-1-go#latest0
