Yes, I have been trying to lose weight for 60 years :) ..turning 60 in June and need and want to lose 50 lbs. I am at my highest !!Tried every diet and am done!! Just want to follow 1500calories which is more than my normal 1200. Need to incorporate some exercise. Live in Canada...cold ,cold ,cold and snow ,snow, snow... Have a great life and this is the only thing I have control of and cannot seem to conquer it. So tired of thinking about it. Love clothes, jewellery, and all girly things. Love to travel of course to hot places.....Moral of story...just want to lose weight to be healthy first....look good and grow old gracefully!!!! Anyone in the same world as me??????

Hi lab1111! I am in with you. I am a few years behind you (56), but need to lose 50. I am ok with a year to do it. My goal is overall wellness long-term. I just will not do crazy diets. I was doing well with the fitness side and then slid. Stopped my workouts with a trainer, thinking I know what I need to do. I have some basic equipment at home (spinner bike I bought refurbished, BOSU ball, resistance bands, a weight bench and a few free weights. So of course, I've done nothing. I was teaching Spin classes but quit that as well. And of course, I've lost nearly all I had gained. Eyeopener was my physical exam - stepping on the scales. Oh no! Disappointed in myself, but I'm climbing back in. Mind you, muscle weighs more than fat so my losses were not that significant to begin with, but I looked and felt so much better. I am seeking someone to help me be accountable. I love have you want to grow old gracefully, looking good. Such a beautiful thought.
