Single Muscle Group vs. Alternating Muscle Groups? Which works better for you?

Most workouts in general are focused on one or more muscle groups. But is it better to focus on just one or alternate between them. For example, on a certain day of your routine you work back and biceps. Is it better for you to focus on your back then move to your biceps? Or is it better to alternate?

Personally I just do one main compound lift with some accessory work that might even include another compound to strengthen my main.
Example:
Main: Flat bench
Accessories: DB Inline, Floor press, weighted dips.
Just more efficient for me in the gym, plus I get the gains easier.0 -
It sort of depends on what your end goals are.0

If you're having to ask that question, I'd recommend seeking out a proven beginner's program and executing it as written.0
