Start getting educated. Read about how your body works! Your organs, liver, pancreas, digestion, kidneys! This is you! This is me. Food is energy for these organs!

Dealt with a lot of injuries in the past. This is the time you cultivate that willpower that is going help you when the cast comes off. Don't ever lose sight of why you started. Life is going to be full of setbacks, the people that are successful are the ones that just deal with the setbacks and keep on going.

If you are strictly in a weight-loss phase, luckily weight loss is 80% what you eat, so you should still be able to stick to your goal without too much workaround. If it is the food people are bringing you (since you are immobile), just make sure to plan your meals ahead of time, and tell people if you need to change things up to fit your macros.

I'm coming off of a break-injury, as well, and love what Brolympus said above.

Also, I found that keeping my hands busy (I took up crochet again, and all my besties got scarves and hats, LOL) helped. Also, between lack of appetite and pain meds initially, I didn't have much of an appetite.

That said, just kind of keep track of your calories, and remember how far you've come this far. Get better soon!

Thank you so much for the video, nladopoulos!! I have been having major foot issues with toe surgeries for MONTHS and can't go out walking, which is my preferred form of exercise. This is going to be a godsend... can you tell YouTube isn't my first go-to to find stuff yet? ;)

Two years of not being able to do much after back surgery. I get it. Just have to be extra careful about what you're eating. There are tons of stationary exercise routines out there! Just google em or search the boards. BTW best thread title ever
