So I have started working out a lot in the past 3 weeks (running on Mon. Wed. & Fri., Elliptical on Tue. & Thur., and swimming on Sat. & Sun. in addition to weights). I have done this before but this time I am noticing that my ribs are starting to be very pronounced and not in a good way. I am eating about 1,500 - 1,800 calories a day and this is still happening. Does anyone have any tips on how I can possibly stop this or keep it from getting worse? I am over weight right now at 5'7" and 170 pounds so I'm not sure why this is happening!

Hard to say what's happening there, but it sounds like your calorie amount is where you want it. I'd say the best thing to do would be to ask your doctor and see what they say.

Genetics. Unfortunately we can't choose where the fat comes off. I also have visible ribs but excess fat in other areas!
