Losing size, not weight

Hi everyone, my weight hasn't moved since Feb 1, but I've been surprised to see my measurements drop in a slow but steady way. Main reason I'm surprised is because I haven't been exercising this month due to some health challenges. I've always associated size drops without weight dropping with exercise, building muscle, getting stronger- which I'm definitely not doing right now. Can anyone weigh in on how/why I'm losing size?
I'm not talking super dramatic, but 1/2-1 inch on different parts of my body.
Thanks

Probably just fluctuation on the scale. It'll catch up.
And you can lose inches without strength training. Most people do, especially if they have a lot of fat to lose. Strength training will help, of course, but you'll drop size either way.0 -
Not sure what you mean by fluctuation on the scale? I dropped 8 pounds during the month of January, and I haven't lost any weight at all in the last 3 weeks. I've gained and lost the same 1/2 pound, which I understand is weight fluctuation.0
