i wasn't sure which thread to put this in so I opted for here. Is anyone else experiencing disturbed sleep? Since starting my diet 4 weeks ago ive not had a decent nights sleep. Waking up several times a night and it's starting to become frustrating. Im not awake for long and fall back asleep fairly quickly however it's not really a quality sleep.
If anyone else is experiencing this please so let me know so that I k ow I'm normal! Also any tips to overcome this would be great x have a fab day all x

Are you hungry at night? Have you started drinking something like tea to replace a food you've given up?

Have you started an exercise routine in the evening?

Maybe try this stuff. http://naturalvitality.com/natural-calm/ Magnesium levels can affect sleep duration and depth. Also balance your calcium as well. When you start taking in more fluids it can change your normal electrolyte balance. The lemon raspberry stuff you do have to water down pretty good. And sometimes it can give me heartburn.

Thanks all. I have got a new excercise regime that I do in the evenings and I am drinking a lot more water. Minimum 2 litres a day.
I don't feel hungry when I go to bed, however I have dramatically reduced the amount that I eat. Very little complex carbs now, mostly proteins and vegetables.

Some carbs at night can help some people -- a piece of fruit with peanut butter for example. Or a piece of toast with cheese. I agree that Magnesium helps. If you are taking B vitamins at night, they can be activating. The most important thing is that exercising late in the day often interferes with sleep. Two litres of water is plenty. You can mange with less than that. Try not exercising for a four or five days and see if your sleep improves.
I hope that something in here is helpful:

Consult your doctor. Maybe a sleep study will be helpful.
