Brazilian Butt Lift - Worth It?

Hey everyone - I am currently doing Insanity, and I am starting to look at a new program to do for after I am done. Now I am NOT looking for something as intense as insanity, but something I could do along with weights at the gym, turbo fire/jam and leslie sansone's walking, and eventually when it gets nice outside - bike riding.

I find I am wanting to try Brazillian Butt Lift because my butt has been a problem - but basically being non-exsistance (yeah, I dont have a butt). Insanity has definately helped, but I am looking for something new. Anyway, I have a few questions for anyone who has tried BBL or heard about it.

How intense is it? If P90X programs and Insanity were a 10 - what would BBL be?

Does it do anything significant for the tone of your stomach? (Yes I understand I cant pick and choose where fat comes off...which is why I kind of wonder if this program will do anything to specific areas)

I am almost near my goal weight, and my problem areas are becoming more obvious (lower stomach, hips, lack of *kitten*) and I am wondering if BBL would be worth it.

If you are planning on lifting at the gym you do not need an additional exercise video to hypothetically target your butt. And no, you can't pick where fat comes off, so this program will don't do anything specific for your stomach.

I'd suggest starting with a good solid beginners program such as StrongLifts or Starting Strength. Once you get the basics down you can decide if you want to add in some focus for your butt. However remember your butt is a muscle. It might get rounder and tighter while lifting on a calorie deficit (which I'm assuming you'll stay on since you seem to still have fat you want to lose). It won't get much bigger unless you eat at a surplus as is required to grow any muscle.

Have you searched for BBL results? I've done the program and I would say it's probably a 6 compared to your 10 for P90X. I cannot compare to insanity.

I enjoyed Leandro's accent and he sometimes made me laugh.

Weights are light, high rep. Multiple angle exercises for all areas of the glutes. Trust me, you'll feel it.
I did it immediately following 1 round (my first) of ChaLean Extreme. I did see results in 60 days in my photos.

It's an inexpensive program and I'd recommend getting the Extreme kit if only for the bonus DVDs.

You can message me if you like for more info.
  • I have completed 4 weeks with great results. It actually comes with programs for pear shapes, flat butts, etc. I did notice my abs got more toned and lost close to an inch around my waist

After doing P90X, Chalean Exteme and P90x3, I would agree that BBL is around a 6 or so. I LOVE p90x3. I did BBL for a little while in between rounds of x3. The workouts definitely left me sore, which I liked, but overall I was a little bored by the repetition and overall program. I didn't do it long enough to measure results.
