inb4 crossfiter. You really think OP that advance seeing how trying to loose running 6 miles?

    And again in english please...

lmaoo. Inb4 "havent misced thats why no knowledge". Do you really think original poster is that advance he/she would get all that ?

Posts such as your intellectually devoid drivel make me weep for the future of the world.

First of all, true HIIT is not for beginners (as opposed to the much more moderate intervals that are common). Second, the advice others have provided to the OP is scientifically (and grammatically) solid.

lel. Notsureifsrs, Look at my bod. Point made, And actually no not really. Did HIIT 4 yrs ago when was loosing weight and it worked like hulk and ripped me up and it was when I just started.

Are you capable of conversing via the written words or are the covers of books still too heavy for you to open?

Are your man boobs to heavy for you doe? Srs

When speaking in misc lingo towards people who are unaware, you end up looking like a bit of a tool. Jus sayain brah.

At least your trend of typing random letters without any context, insight, or wisdom continues. Your recommendation of HIIT to this OP shows you don't understand what HIIT truly is.

lel. High intensity Interval training. Atleast you are showing others how crossfitters are noobs. Go lift and quit on bikes lel, might have chance of being as ripped as me. You mad now? Yea you mad. Now go before your BP goes up old one

Why are you acting like a jerk?

    1. This ain't /fit or /b. Talking like it is completely negates anything meaningful you have to say and makes you sound like a 12 year old.

    2. Your body isn't impressive enough to have that attitude.

I'm not saying that you don't have valid points. Just your attitude and way of delivering them is convincing people that your sole purpose of being here is to just *kitten* the bed.

What kind of difference are you talking about? Weight loss? Are you currently running at all now? I would say that if you ran this much, you would drop weight quickly, but if you are not currently running, you will also end up with an injury fairly quickly by just jumping in and running that much. I would suggest starting off by running no more than 10-12 miles per week for a couple of weeks and then building your mileage slowly from there. If you are very overweight, why not throw in some walking as well? It might take a little longer to get you where you are going, but it's also going to be just as good for weight loss.

Just to be clear, I am reasonably fit and active and in my 20s. But I tend to walk it and not run, and my diet was very bad hence the weight.

How quick would I drop weight now I have cleaned up my diet?

Just to be clear, it is not all one long run, it is two lots of 3mile a day

what do you mean you cleaned up your diet? do you know how many calories a day you need to eat in order to lose? do you weigh and measure your food?

find a TDEE calculator and set it to lightly active (or sedentary if you sit most of the day)..give yourself a deficit from there. For example.. say my TDEE is 1840.

    1840x.2=368
    1840-368=1472
1472 calories is what i would eat if i wanted a 20% deficit without exercise. If i exercise and burn calories, i will eat back approximately half of those calories.

weighing your solids and measuring your liquids is the only way to be sure that you're eating the correct amount of calories.

the only way to lose weight is to eat at a deficit.

ok I don't understand half the posts on this thread in 'txt spkk'

one can be aerobically fit and able to do a 5k while very heavy and overweight. why? because about an hour of running equals one shop bought pastry. or four hours of walking equals a big mac meal.

so yeah I am fit enough to do it, but now I am not eating unhealthy processed food anymore I was wondering how long it will take to see effect.

before this I used to walk about 5 miles a day but a very poor diet.

breakfast used to be a sugar free energy drink and chocolate criosaant
mid morning snakk - choc bar
lunch was a 'sub' (500 cal)
drinks = latte and hot chocolate
mid evening = 2 bars chocs or crisps
dinner = 2 doughnuts, maybe another sub or panini
