Ballerina exercises, the movements are small but intense (no dancing).

Have you ever seen the show on PBS "Classical Stretch"? You can also buy the DVD.... it's helped me so much when I've had back pain. No impact. I love it!

I was plagued with Reactive Arthritis for a couple years, and only recently (within the past few months) have I been able to put this crap in complete remission. It sucked, and was painful as hell.

I remember the first time I was able to run on a treadmill, it took a good several trys to get the running motion to happen but when it did, I felt like Forest Gump. You know the part from the movie his braces broke off... "he was a runnin" Quite the day that was

Anyways, I started with the elliptical as it seemed to have the least amount of impact on my joints. It did take me quite a while to be able to stay on it for longer than 10 mins but I truly believe it helped to get things moving around.

I also loved sitting in the sauna, and I would sit in there and stretch my joints.

Best of luck, and feel free to add me as a friend if you want so I can hear about all the great successes you are going to have.
