I tried peanut butter and banana on a piece of bread for the first time. That's not exactly a real sandwich because I used one piece of bread, but it got me thinking. What are some unique sandwich ideas? I'm thinking of trying more fruity sandwich ideas now.

Sliced strawberries with pb is good. So are apples. Think jelly flavors.

Applesauce and leftover pork chops make a tasty fruity sandwich.

Roasted red peppers and portabello mushrooms with thickened italian dressing for the spread - seriously, it's delicious. Even tastier with pepper jack cheese, but that's not exactly diet friendly, eh?

My fave fruity sandwich is cheese and pineapple but cheese and apple is good too. Non-fruity I like pesto instead of mayo or spread, especially chicken, pesto and salad sandwiches.

My favourite 'weird' sandwich is peanut butter and corn relish. Yum!

Tomorrow my sandwich will be smoked mackerel pate (made with mackerel fillet and fat free yoghurt) with tomatoes and cucumber on a wholewheat sandwich thin.

Brie cheese , red peppers, pesto, arrugula, yum !
  • I tell ya what. I stopped eating meat (with the exception of fish) and come to find out putting only veggies in a wrap with a dressing is just as good without the meat. I typically use bell peppers, spinach, cucumber and maybe a little lettuce and some onion. Turns out awesome every dang time.

I have 2 that I love but they are not fruity. I love lots of avocado with a big slice of red pepper. And I love mixing pb with raw coconut butter and a little honey.

It's great to eat cheese as long as it fits your calorie goal!

I have made a pizza grilled cheese. So basically just a regular grilled cheese with mozzarella. Plus pepperoni and pizza sauce. Lol.

Not the healthiest option probably, but I really like strawberry jam and cheddar cheese sandwiches, and the people I work with act like they're about to puke when they see me unwrapping those at lunch time >:)

i've put tomamtoe, smoked turkey breast, avocado, and spinach into a grilled cheese on whole wheat and grilled it. So good! Chicken salad but instead of mixing it up with Mayo, use avocado and a bit of salt and pepper, whole cranberry sauce and spinach on a whole wheat baguette, so good

Ham, Swiss cheese, apple slices, and cherry/raspberry jelly. Eat it as is, or make grill it to make it even more amazing.

Nut butter and banana sandwiches are even better when you put honey on them. I used to eat just plain peanut butter and honey sandwiches for lunch all the time when I was in grade school. Sprinkling it with cinnamon adds another great dimension of flavor.

I love turkey, brie, honey mustard and cranberry sauce. Throw that baby in the oven for a few to get it all toasty/melty and I am in heaven.

I like turkey, provolone, avocado and green apple on sandwich things with a little bit of cream cheese to hold it together.
