So, I cook from scratch (packaged anything is just plain out of our budget), and I am running into a wall of what to cook. All of my cookbooks are from the 70s, the height of high calorie decadence. I am working on losing weight, but my husband needs to put on some serious pounds.
We already add things like cheese to anything he eats, but it's not working. He's still 125 lbs, the same as he was 15 years ago. We tried adding in protein shakes in between meals, he managed to put on 2 lbs in about 3 months. He did not stick to it, he really just does not like them. He can, and does, stuff away an entire batch of cookies, which helps me- I get one, he gets the rest lol.
So- share your recipes, or sites with good ones. I can print them out at the library. I have a hard time spending the time I need browsing the web to just find these myself due to a painful disability, so I'm just asking for some help. I need things that are low calorie for me, but that are super easy to just throw some cheese into, or drizzle with more sauce on, for him. He already does eat a larger portion that I do. We have no food allergies, and have very few things that we don't like. Making two separate meals just plain sucks.
