Eating before workout

I have recently started working out...I have a personal trainer at my gym. My workouts are lots of different things, strength training, cardio. I am finding myself feeling nauseous during and after my workout. I usually meet my trainer at noon so I don't want to eat lunch before going, but I need something to get me through the workout. Any suggestions?

You may need some carbs to get through the workout. Consider a small snack 30 - 60 minutes before. Then get some carbs and protein after the workout.0

I like to workout first thing in the morning. I have found that too heavy of food, especially carbs, makes me sluggish....not enough, and I get feeling dizzy and nauseous. Usually a scoop or two of protein in water will get me through a workout. If I add a carb, it is no more than half a banana.
Everyone is different. Some people can workout on an empty stomach with nothing more than a few BCAAs, and some coffee. Others need a good sized meal about an hour before a workout. Experiment a little and find out what works best for you.0
