Hey gang! I have been using MFP for several months to keep track of my calories and workouts. I started working out after my doctor said to me, "so, you're in your 40's, you're fat, you smoke, you have high cholesterol and high blood pressure. how do you want to be buried, because that's the next step." He's been my doc for years and isn't one to mince words. I was at 275 (the second heaviest i've been in my life).

A group here in the office started doing Focus T25 at lunch, and I joined them every day and started counting my calories and keeping under 1900 cals a day. It hasn't been easy. I have lost nearly 40 pounds in the last 6 months and only 10 more pounds to go before I reach my initial target of 225. If i can get below that, i'll way less than my oldest son, which will be good fodder for some good father/son bonding. (I have also quit smoking, btw.)

Anyway, feel free to add me. I'll be posting images this weekend on my profile so be sure to check back in.
