Pilates - doesn't burn enough calories?

I have been exercising really hard - doing 20 minutes of boot camp exercises and 20 minutes of pilates a day. I find the pilates exercises more difficult and they make me feel way more sore the next day, but the calculator will tell me I only burned 45 calories? Is there anyone familiar with pilates that can back up this information? Either way its still worth doing because it makes me feel great!

The "lose it" app shows 56 calories for 20 min of Pilates. Not a lot, but its good for toning I guess.

awikum, pilates is not a weight loss exercise, rather, you should be doing it for a more flexible, toned and strong body. I did pilates for about a couple of months formerly and i did not lose any pounds, but my body felt a lot more firmer.

Exercises that really get your heart rate up are the ones that are going to burn calories. Pilates is useful for a healthy body, but it's not a huge calorie burner.
