Grazing diet

i eat a little something every 2 hours. I keep in mind what I need to take in and divide it up to about 6 to 8 small meals and snacks. I find that if I stick to this I loose weight so much faster. I'm never hungry. It works so well because every 2 hours your body starts to think its starving then starts to store fat. But if you never let your body do that it just keeps using everything you eat. Everything is put to use.

While I am glad that grazing works for you, all of the stuff that you think happens to your body is simply untrue. Grazing helps YOU with satiation. Nothing more.0

I will also say I do serious workouts 4 times a week. I'm really not sure this would be the best diet for someone who isn't really active0

Calories in versus calories out. That is all that matters. Meal timing is irrelevant. If a person isn't active and eats within their calorie range they will lose weight whether they eat every 5 minutes or once per day.
And you are the person that posted the claim that is untrue. It is on you to back it up. Since it's common knowledge on this board, you are required to prove your point.0 -
First of all no one need to act like children. Iff you want to come up here and educate people maybe site a source so someone can look at it. There is more out there that my idea works than the opposite.0

Common knowledge to the person who has had this app for like 4 days lol. I guess no matter where you go people have absolutely no maturity. And based on the fact no matter when you eat or how often if you stay in the calorie range you'll loose weight. It's the only diet that helped me and was recommended to me. How about if you want to challenge maybe you should site something different as a sign of maturity. Instead of being a child "no you first". Ugh I can't even handle the childish thing. Won't be on forum anymore0

Basically, you eat, its turned in to glucose for immediate energy needs. If its not needed there and then its stored as glycogen (in your liver and muscles). If your storage is full is it stored as fat. As you work you use readily available glucose first, then what you have in your stores, then if all else fails your body will look to your fat reserves for energy.
This is why some people like to train in a fasted state when dropping weight (ie first thing in the morning).
By the end of the day, as Hornsby correctly highlights, its energy in v energy out. If in a 24 hour cycle (for our sake of calculation) you have taken less food for energy than your body needed, it will access your fat storage. When you are eating the meals isnt really effecting the total sum of either.0 -

We're the ones asking you to follow scientific procedure (the one who makes the claim must produce the evidence) and you're the one moaning and whining and running away. And we're the childish ones?

Bye, I guess? Not sure what is making you so upset. It's great that you found something that works for you and making you feel more full. There is nothing wrong with that and a lot of people eat many meals per day. But....your body doesn't think it's starving when it doesn't get food every two hours and begin storing fat. Reading an article in a magazine just doesn't make it so. Sorry.0 -
Which is why I said I do intense workouts 4 times a week up to 3 hours. This works for me for a reason. Check with your doctor before entering any sort of diet that will be an extreme change to your usual day to day tou time. Do I need to prove that fact? Btw I have lost close to 70 lbs with this diet. So to tell me I'm wrong and doesn't work I will call bs. It's working for me. Everyone should try something out until they find what works for them that's within a healthy range. I have not had any insulin changes or any bad "side effects". All I have found is a bunch of no bodies writing on this type of dieting. There really isn't a lot of actual proof of it working or not working. But if you try it and it works, then why fix it.0

Not totally sure on your angle but as I mentioned above, if you are dropping bf% (well done!) and it is because you are eating less energy than your body needs so your body is accessing your fat stores to get what it does need.

Where has anyone said it doesn't work? No one's said that. All we've said is that eating every 2 hours is no different to eating at meal times.0 -
Maybe I just have a lot more common sense but that is always the goal with dieting... Isn't it? So of course that concept should be applied no matter what. Which is why it's probably working. This works because im a mom of two toddlers don't have time to eat large meals and I tend to "snack" on general.0

huh? im glad you found something that works for you where weight loss is concerned..but your explanation for why it is working is completely wrong.
your body isn't going to store fat if you don't eat every two hours. your body will store fat if you eat more calories than you are burning.0 -

your body isn't going to store fat if you don't eat every two hours. your body will store fat if you eat more calories than you are burning.
To add to that, your body stores and burns fats throughout the entire day. The goals is to have the valleys (Burning fat) outweigh the peaks (Storing fat). You accomplish this through calorie deficit.0 -
