A little late with my introduction

Well, I have been logging my food and exercise for a little over 100 days and I have never got on the forums...silly me.
So here is my Hello!
I am your typical fad diet fanatic, tried a lot of them with early success, but only to gain all the weight back and more. I have tried logging my calories and eating better and that too worked at the beginning, but my motivation ran out and the weight came back.
What changed it all this time was when I tried to go for a walk with my family...I was out of breath and in pain within minutes. In fact, anytime I walked the same thing would happen, my legs just said, "Nope."
So I decided to change my life by watching what I eat and how much, plus adding the great benefit of running into the mix. My starting weight was 316 pounds and just trying to walk for 30 minutes was a chore in itself.
Thus far in my journey, I have lost 37 pounds and followed a consistent program to take me from barely walking for 30 minutes to running for a full 30 minutes.
I am not there yet, but I am working slowly making progress.
