I tried spinning for the first time today I literally bruised my butt ow!

    I love spinning. It's a great workout! The butt discomfort does get better.

    Get women's specific padded bike shorts. and wear them commando.

    The pain should go away by about the 3rd or 4th class. I go to 4 or 5 classes a week. It's great cardio!

    Love spin, I do 3 or 4 a week as well. When I first started, I wore bike shorts and put a pad on the seat for the first month.

    I'm buying a bike here in a couple of days. The seat "or saddle as they call it in pricey bike shops" looks mighty uncomfortable.

    I see a tender taint in my future.
