My favorite is Nature's Own Honey Wheat bread - 70 calories per slice but I usually only have one slice as toast with breakfast in the mornings, and occasionally I'll make a sandwich with it.
No need for a cleanse either, and two weeks without bread sounds like hell on earth to me.
i also use to eat 70 calories a day bread, and some days half of my calories would be from bread imagine that x___x.
the cleanse was necessary. i did the elliot hulse cleanse lost almost a lb a day for 2 weeks. and it was, it was hell....but im going to do it again in may
Wtf am I even reading. So much no up in here.
Stop "cleansing". Nothing in your body needs to be cleansed. Eat bread. Stay at a deficit. Be patient. Claiming impatience is not a viable adult excuse for doing silly things to your body that make you unduly miserable.
i agree but whats the "good bread" is the bread im eating ok?
Yes. I don't understand what you don't get about this. I've seen you on other threads before. Any bread is fine if it fits into your calorie deficit.0 -

there is no "good" or "bad" bread …just bread …eat it and make sure you hit your calorie/macro/micros for the day ...0 -

I think most people in here would agree that the bread you're eating is perfectly fine if a) you like it and b) it fits into your calorie/macro goals.
There is no "bad" bread, just like there is no fantastical, magic bread.

All bread is good as long as it fits your goals. No bread is bad. Enjoy!

Do you enjoy eating the bread you're eating? Then it's ok. Is there another bread you enjoy eating more? Then that one is "even gooder". Just enjoy it in moderation.
IMO, the only time bread is bad is when there's no Vegemite in the cupboard.0 -
If you're truly concerned with how "good" your bread is, make it at home, from scratch, so you don't have any fillers. Otherwise, eat the bread, but be aware of the amount of bread you are packing in. The end.0

alright sounds good, lower the calories the better tho for me0 -
OP: bread is not bad, per se. Bread may or may not make your weight loss easier.
And, given that, some bread may make your journey easier. FOR ME: a 100% whole grain bread is preferable. A bread with less sugar and NO HFCS is preferable. A bread with more fiber is preferable. For me, the above makes it easier to eat within my goals because I feel more full, more satiated, and have fewer cravings. I also prefer a bread with a shorter ingredient list. And I prefer a bread without unnecessary ingredients. Your grandmother's bread, if you will. YMMV.0 -

sounds like a great thing to learn how to do!
i just dont have the time now, its on my to do list tho0 -
Bread is only as bad as the number of calories it puts you over your deficit. Seriously.
Having said that, I personally find that cutting down on carbs (all carbs, not just bread) and increasing fat and protein really helps me feel full, but I'm on like 1300 calories so I need to pay extra attention to this. YMMV.0 -
Try this: http://authoritynutrition.com/ezekiel-bread/
I don't eat bread. Waste of time. I can get great fiber from seeds, fruits, and veggies. The nutritional content of bread is minimal when compared to nutrient-dense foods like the above mentioned.
However, this one is interesting. Just searched for it based upon your post OP.0 -

it's all fine, but i prefer denser, multigrain bread most of the time. (other times, i like crusty french bread. or rye bread. or pumpernickel). i've found that the diet-oriented breads usually lack essential breadiness and fillingness.0

As Sabine said - Bread is not "bad", per se, but all bread is definitely not created equal. Personally, I limit my bread consumption because I prefer to use my calorie allotment in other ways (and I'm a carboholic). When I do eat bread, I try to only eat organic bread with limited number of ingredients. Homemade bread has only about 5 ingredients, so why would you eat something with 50 ingredients including chemicals you can't even pronounce?0

My favorite bread is Trader Joe's Sprouted 7 Grain Bread. It is fantastic toasted! Only 60 calories a slice with 5g protein, 1g fat, 3g fiber. If you're gonna eat bread, make it taste good and be good for you. I eat very little bread on a daily basis but like RaeBeeBaby said, I'd rather allot my carbs to other things.0

You've been around long enough to know you don't need to give up anything and that your body naturally cleanses.0

Isn't this the same person who set an unrealistic goal for new years and was upset they didn't achieve it?0

Super bad, going to kill you. Send it to me.0

I'd say this is bad bread.

I went on a cleanse that cut me off from bread for 2 weeks, needless to say i was going crazy but it was worth, lost alot of weight but now im concerned about how bad it could be for me. Is there any good bread to eat?
i recently went and bought 35 calorie bread: http://www.healthylifebread.com/pages/original/100-whole-wheat-bread.php
this stuff^^
instead of mothers bread or the usual store brand name bread and im trying to eat as little as possible yet somehow ill still consume up as much as 8 slices a day! i know i need to cut back some but if I have to choose my poison whats the best kind to eat?
Bread is awesome and delicious and magical. Bread rolls, sliced bread, tortilla bread, pita bread, chapati, naan, paratha, baguettes... All little angels of bready goodness. There is absolutely nothing wrong with bread, no matter what kind it is.
The only issue would be if you're eating so much of it that you crowd all of the protein and fat out of your diet. (Most bread has some of both--But it's mostly carbohydrates) Bread is also a good source of iron and several B vitamins, due to enrichment and fortification of the grains.
A lower calorie bread DOES NOT EQUAL a so-called "good" bread. Food is not good or bad. Eat bread, along with a variety of other foods, and you'll meet all of your nutrient needs. Just be sure that you're eating at a calorie deficit if you're trying to lose weight.
All the best.0
