Weight loss while Breastfeeding

Now that my little one hit a year and my extra weight is still with me, I am trying more seriously to lose the extra pregnancy weight (15 bs) plus the extra weight I started with another (10-12 lbs). I am trying to it slowly and safely since my 12 month old is still relying on my milk quite a bit. He has allergies and cannot have dairy, eggs, etc. I started tracking my food for almost three weeks, but my weight is still up and down all over the place. I was trying to aim at 1 lb loss a week. Nursing moms, is it even possible to lose weight while breastfeeding? Is weight loss just harder because of all the hormones? I have to say that with my first one I lost all my pregnancy weight in 4 months, but this time, it wants to stick around. I exercise regularly, running, dance, and now weight train a little bit. Any tips?
