I have found, if you are craving it just have it (in moderation of course), otherwise I end up eating more just trying to satisfy that craving with alternatives.

Anyone else?

    Yes!

I've also stopped labelling food. Good, bad, unhealthy ect. All food is food. And all foods are allowed. That's helped me a lot with moderation.

Yes! No restricting (well unless you have food allergies), portion size and a food diary (MFP) has really made a difference!

It's great now that the food doesn't bother me anymore. There's a bowl of cookies on the cupboard which bothers me about as much as the box of tea next to it.

Some foods I'm better off having a little when I crave it (sweets mostly) and some I'm better off avoiding altogether (chips mostly). And some things I crave just aren't worth the calories. Cheesecake would be one. I flippin' love cheesecake but haven't had it in years and years.

I sometimes have dessert instead of dinner. :stuck_out_tongue: I love it once in a while. More calories to use. More Cheesecake

    Exactly!

Usually eating what you want originally is less calories than eating something people deem more 'healthier' like the people who say to eat homemade banana ice cream over eating a serving of ice cream/gelato.

I don't think I'd want just dessert for dinner. I typically eat about 80% of calories at dinner. It's my only real 'meal' of the day.
