Hey so in the past I have fasted on Good Friday and Holy Saturday waiting till Sunday brunch to eat again having my "last supper" on that thursday. I wanted to get your opinions on not eating for 2 days, i can't do any real damage to my body if it's only 2 days right? (and no this is not something a lot of people do but I started doing it a couple years ago and haven't had a problem)

But why do you want to do this? What is the goal? All it is going to do is leave you really really hungry?

I used to fast good Friday through Easter too. (It's not a weigh loss thing it a religious thing).

Anyway, I always found myself less hungry on sunday... I never over ate because over eating would make me sick after fasting

In college I fasted one day a week (again for religious reasons) bIt never effected my weight.

For a healthy person with good nutrition otherwise, no harm.

If you are fasting spiritually, and not just starving yourself, you are fine. My church advocates fasting at least once a month in remembrance of our Savior's sacrifice to us, and as a means of deep prayer other times. And it's very healthy for your body to cleanse it out. http://www.quickanddirtytips.com/health-fitness/healthy-eating/what-are-the-health-benefits-of-fasting

You will do no harm this way, fast away.

You'll be ok. My wife starts every year here lately doing the Daniel Fast, and while there is still food involved, it is very restrictive for a few weeks. It's the sacrifice of one's self and the act based on your belief system. Your body adapts to no food, so hunger will eventually diminish. This is why Intermittent Fasting works for so many trying to keep within their calorie and hunger constraints.

You'll be fine for two days. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, but for religious purposes, lots of people fast.

You could also try a Ramadan style fast where you consciously fast during the day, and then break your fast after sun down.

You'll be fine. You body is built to go short periods without food.

Agree with the others. You'll be fine.

Be sure to eat well on Holy Thursday, and try to avoid eating everything in sight on Easter. You'll want to avoid heavy activity, and depending on how much you're eating I'd consider avoiding driving as well.
