Weight training Extra calories earned

Why does this not show like it does when you enter cardio exercises'?
Or does this have to be set up??

  • Add it from cardio, just search for weight training as the exercise

    It's a funny one, really.

    You don't burn that many calories unless you're lifting really heavy.

    W = F x d

    But if you eat more than your calories back, you're giving your muscles fuel to grow which means they'll burn more calories while you're sleeping. Plus you'll look more awesomer.

    Hence, I might only lift for 60 minutes and according to MFP that burns about 5 calories but the difference between training and non-training days can be up to 500 calories depending on what I fancy eating. :drinker:

    I use my HRM when weight lifting and usually eat the cals back to make sure im getting enough for the muscles :)
