Thanks everyone for sharing your progress and who've noticed/length of time. As
cwolfman13 stated it can sometime be taboo at times but it's motivating for me when someone has truly noticed your hard work :)

I have lost 15 lbs since Jan 4th, so not much. No one has noticed anything. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't tell any difference and my husband said, well, I wasn't going to say anything, but your boobs are about 1/2 the size they used to be. When I lay down on my back, my stomach is almost totally flat, and my boobs are completely gone. I didn't have much there at all before all the weight, so I knew they would go, but not so fast.

It took family only about 10 pounds to notice. Friends about 20. I've now lost 50 and my boss commented this week.

I've lost almost 25lb and nobody has said anything, except my roommate constantly talking about how small my chest has gotten (yeah, that's helpful). But I have more to lose than most, so that probably plays into it.

I'm at a 51 pound loss and my husband is the only one who's said anything. He didn't recognize me a couple months ago.

I just got out of cocoon mode, I didn't want anybody to notice so i would always wear huge clothes and jackets. For me personally I didn't see a change until the 50 possibly 60 lb mark, but then again i avoided cameras like the plague, so i had no pictures to compare with.

My mom noticed at about 15 pounds. My aunt noticed at 29 pounds and my grandmother noticed at 35 pounds. I'm 41 pounds down now and everyone comments. Starting at 5'3 172 pounds, it took a minute for anyone other than my mom to notice. It can be frustrating when people don't comment, but it's great when they do. :)

That's great! A few people started noticing it in my face. Probably a month.

About a month. Though after 7 months my boyfriend was watching me cross the living room and said "Wow...you're skinny as s*&^."

But generally, within the first 10 pounds people asked if I had lost.

It took around 65 pounds before people really started to notice I was losing! But then again I started off at 325 pounds. If you're smaller people might notice after 8lbs, 10lbs,ect. :)

So glad to hear everyone's response. I've lost 20 and nobody has said anything. When I put on 20 I'm sure they noticed. I'm ok with it now because I see it. But hoping th next 10 will be noticed

I think around 30 pounds - I started at 232. I'm 70 down so far, so everyone notices at this point.

As of today I've lost about 23lbs. It took about 15-20lbs for me before people starting making comments.

My face is the first place I gain and lose weight, so it was pretty obvious right away. I had a couple friends mention it within two weeks.

Well, I've lost around 40 pounds and I don't think anybody's noticed, haha! I know I've lost weight, because medium-sized shirts used to be too small and now extra-smalls are too big, but since nobody else seems to be able to see a difference it's pretty disheartening. It's probably because I seem to have lost fat from everywhere but my legs, which have always been huge, but still. :/

My family really noticed a few weeks in. I dress extreamly modestly and wear loser clothes so others havent really noticed.

This thread makes me feel better. I've lost 15 pounds, and nobody has commented. I can't really see a difference visually, so I guess I'm not surprised that others can't either. It is a little disappointing though.

I started at about 240 and nobody said anything until I was 30lb down - then my mum asked me if I was losing weight. I think she'd been suspicious for a while though... It took a bit longer for other people to notice though. I think a lot of people simply don't comment because they think it's rude to do so.
