I have decided not to lose weight...

Truth be told, at 5'9" and 145 lbs, I don't really have much to lose. I made up a goal of ten pounds to motivate me to do the healthy things associated with weight loss: working out, eating well, getting proper sleep and taking my vitamins. Then I somehow allowed the not changing number on the scale bother me. I let it get me down, skipped the gym for a few days, eat a few too many moonpies, the usual.

I'm going to continue tracking my calories. I'm going to continue working out and hopefully building muscle. But from now on, I'm letting my workout accomplishments dictate my feelings of success: running longer, upping weights, going my predetermined amount of days a week.

It's been about a year and I've lost 30 lbs. I'm happy. I will aim to always improve, but damn the scale. That is all.

    Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

You should place no expectations upon yourself other than to continue to eat healthy, exercise and keep an eye on your weight occasionally if you feel its getting too low/high. It seems to me you're doing just fine and maintaining a healthy weight and balance in your life. Time to focus on other things you enjoy and can engage fully with as you seem to have this aspect nailed.
