Hi everyone,

it's been a month since, I started to be careful about eating and doing exercice (3 times a week), and comsuming less calories... and I've already lost 5 Kg!!!!! my goal is 10 Kg, ( actual weight 75)....Im so happy, unfortunately, in my food diary, most of the time, I've been eating too few calories (800-1000 calories). I eat normally, but most of the time, I try to ignore pasta, rice or bread or just eating 1 spoon (even if these are calories that I need to be healthy), but I have a problem, I am constantly constipated, and it's not fun, but since I started this diary food and stuff and doing exercice, I feel good.... so my question is: do you have some advices about types of food which would help me, food high in calories, but not to hard to digest....

I will be very grateful for your response.

No one can help you since you have your diary hidden and not filled out your profile. We are not mind readers. All people can do is guess at best. So fix that issue if you really want help.

look at your fibre macro for constipation. try and hit it dead on. Senna tea, prunes, licorice, bran, dried apricots, chickpeas/falafel etc will all help you poop. Often a cup of coffee in the morning gets things moving too.Every now and then I have a high fat meal which tends to trigger a 'digestive episode' too

The lack of pasta, rice and bread could be contributory to why you are constipated. You don't have to eat the white versions - wholewheat is packed full of fibre and is slow release carbohydrates, meaning you'll feel the energy for longer.

I can't see your diary, so it may be worth putting down what you eat in an average day. If you have problems digesting certain foods, obviously steer clear from them. You need not only to be looking at a hike in calories, but perhaps your macro's too - such as carbs and protein. This will help with the constipation (as well as drinking plenty of water) and make sure that you don't a) burnout and b) go into a form of starvation mode.

Many of us tend to stray towards diet food or healthy alternatives when we are changing our lifestyles, but diet foods aren't great and to be honest, if you need to bump up your calories, it's important that you keep high calorie, dense and healthy fats and carbs in your diet unless specifically told otherwise. If you drink milk, don't go for the lowest calorie one. Eat eggs - brilliant source of protein and good fats.

You are more than welcome to add me as a friend, or I can send you my average daily consumption.

I don't eat bread rice or pasta much, so my cals were kinda suffering too in the beginning. I had to start adding nuts or protein bars to reach my goal. As far as constipation goes are u drinking enough water or ewting enough fruit wnd veggies. If so find a way to add more fiber to your diet or u can try chia seeds and chlorophyll those two things keep me regular. Even if u feel great right now constantly staying under cals will eventually catch up to u. Best of luck

Well done on your weight loss. You probably need to be consuming more than 800-1200 calories though, so few could be bad for you.

To help with your digestion take in more fibre, and drink plenty of water. It's as simple as that. Use google or youtube to find good sources of fibre and add whichever ones you prefer to your diet.

    I hope that helps
