Should I workout?

I know that seems like a silly question, but yesterday when I finished my elliptical workout my quads got super tight and I could barely walk. Wednesdays I usually do an elliptical workout in the morning and a run in the afternoon. My elliptical workout yesterday and every day consists of high intensity intervals for 26 min (2 minute intervals alternating between going backwards at a speed of 240+ strides per min at a level 3 resistance and going forward at a speed of 170+ strides per min at a level 10 resistance). I don't want to injure myself because I'm finally back to working out regularly so I am curious as to whether I should workout today or if I should just do one of my workouts, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you should work out, but not doing the same thing. Go for a walk or swim, look into doing strength training for your arms, anything to use your muscles differently.0

yeah don't do the same thing every day... also, make sure you have a couple of rest days during the week to give your muscles a chance to rest and recover0
