Protein intake question

If I don't eat enough protein during the day, but my calories were within my daily intake range, will I still lose weight? Most importantly, will I lose fat still or will I be losing muscle? I want to optimize my fat burning and not jeopardize my hard earned muscle.

You want to try to eat about 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight every day. If it's hard to eat that much, then definitely use a quality protein powder, preferably one with pure whey protein concentrate or isolate with no flavors or sweeteners (I use one called Promix). Then you want to eliminate all refined carbs from your diet (bread, pasta, candy, sugar etc.), Finally you need to be resistance training at high intensity at least once a week. Preferably 3 times a week. Keep your calories at a 1 pound per week deficit and you'll maintain the most amount of muscle.0
