How long would it take (walking) to burn 500 calories?

Assuming I weigh 112 and am 5'3 and am walking at a moderate to fast pace? I know I should get a pedometer, but my phone isn't working and won't download one, and we're basically having a blizzard where I live so I can't go to the store and get one for a while haha.

How fast are you walking? Is it hilly?0

About 2 hours at 4 miles per hour, which is a pretty fast clip.
According to this, calculator, anyway. Seems about right to me.

Walking at a pretty good pace, I'd estimate 100-120 minutes. Based on me being 15 pounds heavier, and I burn approximately 5 calories per minute walking 4.0 mph. So I'm going on the assumption it would take you the same time or a little longer (due to lesser weight) to burn 500.
Note: based on a heart rate monitor, if I run in place its a little lighter of a workout than walking at 4.0. So I'd estimate for me running in place to be 4-4.5 cals per minute. Just mentioning as you indicated for indoor calculations. Not sure I could walk 4.0 around the house...Cottoncandyweee wrote: »Assuming I weigh 112 and am 5'3 and am walking at a moderate to fast pace?
