New to the program

I am looking for friends and support. I have about 100 lbs to lose I am also the primary caretaker of my fiance who has multiple chronic serious medical conditions. How do I get out to do things when I feel guilty leaving home for too long.

    Welcome to MFP! Weight loss comes from a caloric deficit. Go get it!

    Focus on your nutrition first - that's something you can manage without having to leave home, and it's going to be the biggest factor in your weight loss. I can spend two hours in the gym, but if I have two pieces of pizza, it adds right back up.

    From there, maybe you could try a home workout DVD, like Insanity or P90X? If your primary barrier is not leaving home, then those might work well for you, though P90X does require an initial investment in some dumbbells and a pull-up bar.
