Save the world by eating less wheat, corn, soy, plants.... How cows will save the planet!

Did you know that conventional farming practices, commodity crops and land use change are depleting the world's supply of top soil? Top soil takes 500 to 1000 years to form and is necessary for plant life and therefore all life.
"About a third of the world's soil has already been degraded, Maria-Helena Semedo of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) told a forum marking World Soil Day."
"and if current rates of degradation continue all of the world's top soil could be gone within 60 years, a senior UN official said on Friday."
Thank goodness for the meat eaters out there. They're not contributing to the destruction of top soil and the end of all life. In fact, they are saving it.
"DR. ALLAN SAVORY: There is only one option, I repeat to you, only one option left to climatologists and scientists, and that is to do the unthinkable, and to use livestock, bunched and moving, as a proxy for former herds and predators and mimic nature. There is no other alternative left to mankind."

This is great. I'm a vegetarian who eats none of those three plants (celiac disease, intolerant to soy and indifferent to corn). Plus I save cows. Do I get a prize?0

It's only worth it if they can figure out how to put a box on the cows' butts.

Yup...this is a major issue in farming. Topsoil is simply rock that has been eroded over and over again. It has minerals in it that get absorbed by the plants that grow in it. Once those minerals are gone, you just have rocks.0
