Does anyone have a good website to determine how many calories certain foods have?

MFP doesn't tell you how many calories are in a slice of pizza. I am looking for a tool that gives me a caloric count of whatever I am eating.

If it comes from a chain (i.e. Pizza Hut/Domino's/Papa John's), it's in the database.
If you made it yourself, MFP has a recipe builder that will give you the amount of calories per serving.
Other than that, you just have to make your best guess as to the calories.

You can try calorieking but I'm not sure their list is any more extensive than MFP, they do have some great recipes on there though.

There's no way any site can give you the exact number of calories you are eating. A slice of pizza? How much cheese? How much oil? What ingredients? How many ounces of Italian sausage or other toppings? It differs everywhere, even in chain restaurants that have nutritional information. as malibu927 said, you have to make your best guess sometimes.

Just click "food" at the top of the website. then right under that you'll see "Database". Also, if you have a smartphone or tablet, I highly recommend getting the app because you can just scan barcodes and the food will pop up.

That's exactly what this site is. At the top of your page, click 'food' then click on 'breakfast' or 'lunch' or 'dinner'. Then type in the food you're looking for. You do have to sort through things...there are a lot of duplicate entries and inaccurate entries. Once you've found your item, make sure you enter the right amount.

Got it! Thank you all so much. I didn't realize you could type the food and get the caloric count. You are all so cool!
