Okay... I used to be a very happy healthy person. Then got married and had a child and gained about 60 lbs, also managing to lose any confidence I had prior. I tried to lose weight before lost the bulk of it then gained it all back plus. I started working out again and completely changed the way I eat. My husband is in the military and works out daily, so going any where with him with the way I look now makes me feel bad. The whole point of saying all this is I would like to meet some people on here who can give me better tips for working out , motivation and recipes so that when I lose all the weight I can keep it off. Anyone wanna help?

I learned about TDEE, BMR and body fat at MFP and it had made all the difference.

Make sure your goal is to go slow and steady (I know this sucks, but it's the best way to make it last. It didn't take a month to gain all the weight so don't expect to lose it all in a month). Make a plan to eat AND exercise the way you expect and hope to for the rest of your life - it's not a diet but a change in lifestyle. If it's not something you can reasonably do forever - DON'T DO IT - it will only lead to that cycle of failure. There is a ton of support, advice and inspiration here at MFP, so you've made a great first step!!
Good luck to you!!0 -
I know what you mean- My boyfriend is a personal trainer and although he is always willing to help I want to do this for me and work on losing the weight on my own.0
